ASIA-AFRICA MUSEUM

First Asian-African Conference and historic held here, at Gedung Merdeka, Bandung, West Java, on 18 to 24 April 1955. Asia-Africa Museum was built to remind the countries of Asia and Africa in order to act on the principles of the Bandung Declaration. The idea of ​​founding Museum of Asian-African Conference in Gedung Merdeka led by Prof. Dr. Mochtar Kusumaatmadja presented at the meeting of the Committee for the 25th Anniversary of the Asian-African Conference (1980). The idea was then fully supported by President Soeharto.
